The following organizations may be useful when considering registering an international financial business.

  • The International Financial Activity (IFA) Program

    The BC Ministry of Small Business and Revenue, Revenue Programs Division, Income Taxation Branch administers the IFA program, which allows eligible companies to apply for favourable tax treatment in British Columbia. Information and registration materials are available online.

  • International Financial Activity Act

    The International Financial Activity Act provides the legislative framework under which the IFA program is administered.

  • Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)

    The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) administers tax laws for the Government of Canada and for most provinces and territories, including international trade legislation and various social and economic benefit and incentive programs delivered through the tax system.

  • Invest In British Columbia

    Invest British Columbia is a partnership of provincial, federal and local economic development organizations working together to expand business investment in British Columbia.

  • Asia Pacific Foundation

    The Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada is an independent, not-for-profit organization dealing with Canadian relations with Asia. It undertakes research and develops and distributes timely information and focused analysis for business and policy makers.

  • BC Film Commission

    Established in 1978, the British Columbia Film Commission is a branch of the provincial government working to ensure that the business of film and television production thrives as a value proposition for our domestic and international clientele.

  • Business Council of British Columbia

    The Business Council of British Columbia, established in 1966, is an association representing approximately 210 large and medium-sized enterprises engaged in business in British Columbia. Our members are drawn from all major sectors of the provincial economy, including forest products, mining, manufacturing, transportation, agri-food, telecommunications, information technology, financial services, energy, tourism, retail, construction, healthcare, education and the professions. Taken together, the corporate members and the associations affiliated with the Business Council are responsible for one-quarter of all jobs in British Columbia.

  • Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters Association

  • Canadian Bankers Association

    The Canadian Bankers Association is a professional industry association that provides both the public and its members - the chartered banks of Canada - with information and research.

  • Chambre de Commerce France-Canada

    Founded in 1956, the Chamber of Commerce France-Canada's mission is to foster commercial and industrial exchanges between the two countries.

  • Life Sciences British Columbia

  • Pacific Corridor Enterprise Council

    The Pacific Corridor Enterprise Council (PACE) is a non-profit, business organization to promote cross-border transactions and advocate the removal of barriers that impede the legitimate flow of people, goods and services across the Canada/USA border.

  • Vancouver Economic Development Commission

    The Vancouver Economic Development Commission is a non-profit organization created by the City of Vancouver to promote economic development for the city by encouraging a healthy business environment.

  • Vancouver Port Corporation

    The Vancouver Port Corporation was established to facilitate and expand the movement of cargo and passengers through the Port of Vancouver.

  • Vancouver Board of Trade

    The Vancouver Board of Trade works on behalf of its members to promote, enhance and facilitate the development of the region as a Pacific centre for trade, commerce and travel.

  • Western Economic Diversification Canada

    A department of the Government of Canada, Western Economic Diversification Canada (WD) stimulates the development and diversification of Western Canada's economy and advances the interests of the West in national economic policy.
